Good evening, residents.
Happy Bonfire Night to all of you – hope you are staying safe tonight when celebrating and keeping in mind firework safety – when using fireworks, please be considerate of other people and be aware fireworks are only permitted to be used until midnight, from 11AM.
You may notice an increased presence on the Chelmsley Wood bus interchange – this is nothing to worry about and is simply to ensure safety of everybody during the evening and coming weeks.
Our officers have been extremely busy this set, especially when it comes to ASB, as we have been constantly keeping an eye on our ASB hot spots – our increased patrols and presence is to keep you all safe and reassured.
We have had three arrests this set – one for DV assault, one for common assault, and one for failing to appear to court – all three are assisting with our enquiries at this time.

Can you help? We are still looking for volunteers to help with Community Speed Watch. Whilst monitoring our local roads and collating data over the last 4 – 6 weeks, I would say Cooks Lane is particularly in need of regular speed monitoring. Is this something you would like to join in with? Are you a resident on Cooks Lane or surrounding roads and would like to help us tackle this concern?
